Mya was born in Washington D.C. She grew up taking dance classes which eventually landed her a spot on BET's Teen Summit.

"My Love is Like...Wo" was the lead single off Mya's third album entitled, Moodring.

According to Wikipedia, "My Love is Like...Wo" did pretty well on the charts, "'My Love Is Like...Wo' debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 81 on the issue dated June 28, 2003.^[7] The song reached its peak position of number 13 on the chart dated September 6, 2003, spending four consecutive weeks at its peak.^[8] It spent 20 consecutive weeks altogether on the chart and became Mýa's fifth non-consecutive top 40 solo hit on that chart. On Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, the single debuted at number 62 on June 21, 2003,^[9] peaking at number 17 on August 23, 2003. It spent a total of 19 consecutive weeks on the chart and became Mýa's sixth non-consecutive top 40 solo hit on that chart."

The song also peaked at #8 on the Mainstream Top 40 chart and #9 on the US Rhythmic chart.

The music video is one of my favorites because there is a tap dance section!

Paul Hunter directed the music video. It was featured on MTV's Making the Video. The music video showcases Mya's danceability with a one-woman show kind of vibe.

The music video received a bunch of accolades! The video for "My Love is Like...Wo" earned Mya two MTV Video Music Award nominations for Best Dance Video and Best Choreography. Travis Payne was the choreographer and he got a nomination at the American Choreography Awards for Outstanding Achievement – Music Video.
