Throwback Thursday 'MMMBop' by Hanson (1997)

Was there really any doubt what my last ever Throwback Thursday song would be?

I thought it was very fitting given the lyrics to the song, "In an mmmbop they're gone."

Hanson is a group of three brothers, Isaac, Taylor, and Zac from Tulsa, Oklahoma.

"MMMBop" was the first single off of their debut studio album, Middle of Nowhere.

This song was HUGE! Wikipedia states, "The song was nominated for two Grammys at the 40th Annual Grammy Awards and is the band's most successful single to date. 'MMMBop' was a major success worldwide, reaching number one in at least 12 countries, including Australia, Canada, Germany, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States. The song was voted the best single of the year in The Village Voice Pazz & Jop critics poll, while also topping critics' polls from such media as Rolling Stone, Spin, and VH1, and was ranked number 20 on VH1's '100 Greatest Songs of the 90s', as well as number 98 on VH1's '100 Greatest Songs of the Past 25 Years.'"

"MMMBop" peaked at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and Mainstream Top 40 chart. It landed at #12 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the whole year of 1997.

I was in Canton, SD, and I happened upon a new mural.

It was really cool and that got me thinking that I know of a few murals in Sioux Falls, but I bet there's more than I realize. So, I put it out on social media for the people of Sioux Falls to tell me where all the murals are!

A few of them I had never seen, or never even been to that part of town, and a few of them, I drive by all the time and never noticed!

I know a few businesses have murals inside their establishments, but I decided to keep it to murals that are totally open for the public to see. No need to be 21!
