July 8 (Wednesday)…12^th ANNUAL CLASSIC CAR SHOW…6-8pm at the Quoin Bank parking lot just north of  69^th and Western. Hot cars, live music, and good food. A family event featuring the Great Plains Street Rodders. The event will benefit Hands and Voices, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting families with deaf or hard of hearing children.

July 9 (Thursday)…HOT DOG NITE IN LUVERNE, MN…Serving over 15,000 free all beef hot dogs from Rock-Nobles Cattlemen, and beverages until gone. Serving starts at 5:30pm at several downtown businesses parking lots. There’s plenty of other fun things planned too. The annual Wiener Dog Beauty Pageant at 7:00PM followed by the Wiener Dog Races. • Pioneer Splash Pad – 1789 E. Pine St. A one-of-a-kind dinosaur design. Run through the water tunnel, shoot the dino cannons. Over 60 different spray nozzles shooting out water. Admission is free.
• Denny Sanford Splash Pad – 810 N. Phillips Ave. Open daily from 11:00AM-8:00PM. Admission is free. A state-of-the-art splash pad that includes a variety of water and spray features.
• McKennan Wading Pool – 1500 S. 3^rd Open 1:00-4:50PM and 6:00-7:50PM. A free wading pool located in the center of McKennan Park. The pool has a walking bridge along with spray features for kids and adults.
