Throwback Thursday ‘The Hardest Thing’ by 98 Degrees (1999)

This week was a tough one. Both Foo Fighters and 98 Degrees are playing shows in the area so I wasn't sure who to give Throwback Thursday honors to. So I left it up to the people.

"The Hardest Thing" was the third single off of the group's second album, 98 Degrees and Rising.

98 Degrees is made up of members Nick and Drew Lachey, Jeff Timmins, and Justin Jeffre.

The song was also featured on Now! That's What I Call Music 3. 3?!?! I'm old.

The song is about a guy cheating on his significant other. I mean the song sounds nice and pretty, but Nick Lachey is singing about being a cheating dog!

In the music video, Nick plays a boxer in Vegas and his mistress is a show girl. In the end he says goodbye to the mistress.

The song went to #5 on Billboard's Hot 100 and Billboard Mainstream Top 40. The song went all the way to #2 on Billboard Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks.
