Throwback Thursday ‘On the Way Down’ by Ryan Cabrera (2004)

"On the Way Down" by Ryan Cabrera was the debut single off of the album, Take It All Away. (Which I may have copied and burned from a friend in High School.)

Fun Fact: Backup vocals for "On the Way Down" were performed by none other than John Rzeznik from the Goo Goo Dolls. Whoa! Who knew?

Here is another fun fact: Ashlee Simpson is featured in the music video and they dated in real life. I remember the filming of this music video was shown on her reality show on MTV, cleverly titled, The Ashlee Simpson Show. 

The music video was shot in Austin, TX. Ryan is from Dallas, TX.

The music video peaked at #4 on MTV's TRL.

Most recently, Ryan could be seen on the road with O-Town and Aaron Carter on the Pop2K Tour.

There was speculation he was dating Avril Lavigne because the two have lived together since her split from Nickelback's Chad Kroeger. They both claim, however, that they are just friends and roommates.

"On the Way Down" peaked at #15 on Billboard's Hot 100, #6 on Adult Top 40, and #4 on Mainstream Top 40 chart.
