Sioux Falls Air Show Big Success
Throwback Thursday isn't just for memories from long, long ago. Let's take a moment to remember last weekend!
I went to the Sioux Falls Air Show last weekend and I just realized I didn't tell you all about it! I know you're dying to see my pics!
The weather was perfect on Sunday! However, I forgot my sunscreen, so my face was a little red by the end of the day!
There aren't any exact numbers on attendance yet, but a little birdie told me that the crowd went back further than in previous years! Success!!
I have to be honest, I came just to see The Thunderbirds. We were there a smidge early so we did get to see some parachuters and that was pretty cool!
Then, it was time for the main event. The Thunderbirds were supposed to start at 2:30, but I don't think they actually took off until closer to 3:30. I'm not sure what the deal was. The announcer introduced everybody, and I mean everybody, involved with The Thunderbirds and then it still took awhile for take off!
When the show finally started it was totally worth it! And I think I only ducked twice.
A few of the really cool tricks I missed with my camera because it happens so quick and I just wanted to enjoy the show! But here are a few great moments I did happen to snap!
Also, big shout out to all the volunteers! Especially the ones keeping the shuttles organized at the end of the event! Great job keeping things moving smoothly!
