Throwback Thursday ‘What’s Luv?’ by Fat Joe feat. Ashanti (2002)

"What's Luv?" is the second single off of Fat Joe's album, Jealous Ones Still Envy (J.O.S.E.). It was also part of the movie soundtrack for Juwanna Man. 

It features vocals by Ashanti and the remix features Ja Rule.

"What's Luv?" samples both 2Pac and Tina Turner.

According to Wikipedia, " The single peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, staying on the chart for twenty weeks... It was Ashanti's second top ten single, Fat Joe's first and Ja Rule's seventh. The single helped make Ashanti the first female artist to simultaneously occupy the top two positions on the Hot 100."

"What's Luv?" went to #1 on Billboard Hot Rap Songs chart and #3 on Mainstream Top 40 chart.

The music video was filmed at Fordham University in New York City. It has many cameos including comedian Tommy Davidson, as well as members of Fat Joe's Terror Squad,  Tony Sunshine, Prospect, Armageddon and Remy Ma. Maia Campbell plays Fat Joe's love interest.
