Valentine's Day is this weekend and in true Throwback Thursday tradition I chose an anti-love song! (So maybe I'm single and bitter, whatever.)

"Disease" was the first single from Matchbox Twenty's third album, More Than You Think You Are.

This is a pretty crazy fact, the song was written by frontman Rob Thomas and another famous frontman. None other than Mick Jagger! Ya know Mick, from The Rolling Stones.

The story goes that Mick told Rob to keep the song because it would sound better coming from him than from The Rolling Stones.

Crazy!

"Disease" went to #4 on Billboard's Adult Pop Songs chart, #21 on the Pop Songs chart, and 29 on the Hot 100 chart. Not too shabby.
