Throwback Thursday ‘Lean Back’ by Terror Squad (2004)

"Lean Back" was the second single from Terror Squad off of their second album, True Story.

Terror Squad is a hip-hop group that had a rotating line up made up of rappers Fat Joe, Big Pun, Remy Ma, Cuban Link, and DJ Khaled, just to name a few.

Big Pun was an original member but sadly passed away in 2000. After his death, Cuban Link and Triple Seis left the group and were subsequently replaced by Remy Ma and Tony Sunshine.

Kevin Hart and Lil Jon make cameos in the music video which was filmed at a mansion in the Hollywood Hills.

According to Wikipedia, "It topped the Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks from August 21, 2004 and topped the R&B charts for more than a month."

"Lean Back" was #10 on Billboard's Year End Chart for 2004.

In 2008, VH1 did a countdown of "The 100 Greatest Songs" of Hip-Hop and "Lean Back" was at #55.
