"Go Deep" was the fourth single off of Janet's sixth album, The Velvet Rope. It was another of the many songs that Janet Jackson collaborated with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.

The Velvet Rope included hits like "Together Again" and "Every Time."

"Go Deep" peaked at #1 on Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart, #8 on the US Rhythmic chart, and #12 on the Mainstream Top 40 chart.

The music video features Ty Hodges as a teenage boy that surprisingly has Janet Jackson and her entourage over for a big house party! Spoiler alert: at the end, we find out it was all a fantasy in his mind!

Ty Hodges you may recognize from Disney Channel favorites like Don't Look Under the Bed and Even Stevens.

"Go Deep" is just another song to add to the list of 90s songs that were pretty risque for 12-year-old me to sing along to in the car. But it had a good beat and I could dance to it.
