Eve is a Philidephia born rapper and was the first lady of the Ruff Ryders.

Alicia Keys is a New York-born musician. She is classically trained on piano as well as being an accomplished singer.

Alicia Keys sings the chorus for the song which features a sample from Yarbrough and Peoples' 1981 song "Don't Stop the Music", which was also used on Common's 1997 song "All Night Long" featuring Erykah Badu.

"Gangsta Lovin" was a hit, but couldn't quite get to the #1 spot on any US chart! It peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop songs chart, Hot Rap Songs chart, Mainstream Top 40 chart, and the Rhythmic chart.

For the year-end Billboard Hot 100 chart for 2002, "Gangsta Lovin" landed at #19.

The music video was directed by Little X.

Eve can currently be seen on ABC's Queens. Eve is one part of the ensemble cast made up of  Brandy, Naturi Naughton (3LW), and Nadine Velazquez. They play members of a rap group from the late 90s trying to make a comeback! The show actually has some pretty good music! These are some bops! Brandy and Eve definitely still got it!
