Throwback Thursday ‘Dance With Me’ by 112 (2001)
112 is an American R&B group from Atlanta, Georgia. 112 is made up of members Quinnes "Q" Parker, Daron Jones, Marvin "Slim" Scandrick, and Michael "Mike" Keith.
"Dance With Me" was the third and final song released from the group's album, Part III.
There was also a remix version with Beanie Sigel which was featured on the Bad Boy Record Label album, We Invented the Remix.
Some would argue "Peaches and Cream," from the same album, is the superior song, but I just really like "Dance With Me" and I think it deserves more respect!
Plus, it has an audience participation section inspired by a nursery rhyme, "If you're sexy and you know it clap your hands." "Peaches and Cream" doesn't have that.
"Dance With Me" went to #39 on the Billboard Hot 100, #20 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, but went all the way to #6 on the Rhythmic chart!
According to Wikipedia, 112 released music as recently as last year (2020), "On July 24, 2020, 112 released the single 'Spend It All.' In an interview with Rated R&B, they described the song as 'an ode to women.' 'Spend It All' is the first single from 112's upcoming EP, 112 Forever, which they will independently release on September 4th."
However, the same Wikipedia page states that 112 only has two members currently, Marvin "Slim" Scandrick and Michael "Mike" Keith.
