Throwback Thursday ‘Alone Together’ By Fall Out Boy (2013)
My Pandemic Inspired Throwback Thursday songs continue!
"Alone Together" was Fall Out Boy's third single from their fifth studio album, Save Rock and Roll.
Fall Out Boy is made up of members Patrick Stump, Pete Wentz, Joe Trohman, and Andy Hurley. They are from Wilmette, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago.
All the music videos for Save Rock and Roll were part of the Young Blood Chronicles. It was basically a musical movie produced by the band.
According to Wikipedia, "'Alone Together' debuted on the Billboard Pop Songs chart in mid-October and cracked the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 week ending December 14, 2013, after spending a few weeks on the Bubbling Under Hot 100. On April 10, 2014, 'Alone Together' was certified Gold by the RIAA and was upgraded to Platinum in November 2015 for 1 million units."
"Alone Together" peaked at just #71 on the Billboard Hot 100, but #9 on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart. What a versatile song.
I still think this song is a bop. Plus, it totally fits into my Pandemic Inspired theme. I mean, we are all isolated from each other, but we're doing it together. Perfect!
