‘The Karate Kid’ Returning to Theaters for 35th Anniversary
Thirty-five years after first hitting theaters, The Karate Kid is heading back to theaters for a limited time. It's hard to believe that this movie came out way back in 1984 but the with the return, the movie has been fully restored in 4K from the original camera negative. It will also feature stars Ralph Macchio and William Zabka as they will deliver a new introduction, and the screenings will also include a sneak peek of the upcoming season of their YouTube spinoff Cobra Kai.

According to Forbes, The Karate Kid made $91 million at the domestic box office alone against an $8 million, became a worldwide hit, and a pop culture phenomenon. It also received an Oscar nomination, Best Supporting Actor, for Morita’s performance.
