So, I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel here. I was just plum out of ideas about what to write about today so I took a trip down memory lane.

I happened to run into a bunch of fellow Mary Poppins cast mates yesterday at another production in town and I was reminded of our cast party.

Let me set the scene for you.

We had had a performance earlier that evening, and Ruth, who marvelously played Mrs. Brill in the production, was telling Bob, who marvelously played Robertson Ay in the production, about how her significant other (whose names escapes me at this moment) had broken up a fight during intermission outside the theater. Well, being dramatic theatre people this story obviously had to be reenacted. Plus, alcohol may have been involved.

So, in the video you will see aforementioned Ruth and Bob, playing the people fighting. The red-haired kid is Blake and he is playing the part of the purse. The guy with his back to the camera is Tim, our choreographer, because obviously a fight scene of this caliber needed choreography. The hero of our story, Ruth's significant other whose name escapes me, is played by himself. And I am the camera operator.

Did you get all that?

And I totally get that this probably isn't funny to you if you weren't there, but it was hilarious to us at the time and I still find it pretty funny now. Plus, I'm pretty sure the people in the video forgot it existed even though I told them at the time this may end up online, so it will be fun to embarrass them a little.

Happy Friday!
