Dorito Flavored Mountain Dew? Yes, Dewritos Soda Could Happen, But I Still Think Some Things Should Never Be Combined

I am a "chip-person".  In other words, when I get the munchies, the first thing I will grab to cure the hunger is something spicy or salty...and it has to have a crunch.  Often times while I'm snacking on my favorite "chip", I also like to enjoy an icy-cold soda.  (Or "pop" as many prefer to call the carbonated drink.)  I do enjoy my chips and soda as two separate items, but it looks like that could be coming to an end....with something called 'Dewritos'.

Now, you might think that 'Dewritos' are a Mountain Dew flavored Dorito chip.  Actually, you would be wrong, though that was tried a few years back with 'Doritos Quest', a Dorito chip that was flavored like Mountain Dew.

Imagine now, if you will, taking both the elements of a Dorito chip and a Mountain Dew, and combining them into a Dorito Flavored Mountain Dew drink.  Yes, it's true, that on a few college campuses, Mountain Dew has been taste-testing a Doritos nacho-cheese flavored version of a Mountain Dew soda.

A spokesman from Mountain Dew says,

We are always testing out new flavors of Mountain Dew, and giving our fans a voice in helping decide on the next new product has always been important to us. We opened up the DEW flavor vault and gave students a chance to try this Doritos-inspired flavor as part of a small program at colleges and universities.
