Cover song Friday – Ellie Golding ‘Close to Me’

This weeks cover song comes from a band from my home state of Wisconsin! The band is called Archers, the band members are Nate Pulley, Ben Koehler, Nate Porter. The band has a few tour dates lined up around the upper midwest including a stop in Des Moines, Iowa at Lefty's on Saturday, June 1, 2019.

Archers have been getting a lot of local play on rock stations recently with their cover of Ellie Goldings, "Close to Me". Earlier this month, the song took over the top of Billboard's Adult Pop Songs radio airplay chart (dated May 11). Diplo and Swae Lee each earn their first leader on the list, while Goulding tallies her third, after "On My Mind" in 2016 and "Love Me Like You Do" in 2015.
