Who’s Ready For A Hot Sioux Falls Summer?
Who's ready for warmer temperatures and longer days in the sun after a cold South Dakota winter? I think everyone is ready for sunshine!
Well, before you think this summer will be mild and pleasant....you may want to think again. According to the new Farmer's Almanac, the temperatures in South Dakota this summer may be rather toasty. Get your sunscreen and sunglasses ready!
The first day of summer is officially Tuesday, June 21st. Apparently, summer in South Dakota is going to be sizzling this year. This forecast may be a dream come true for some South Dakotans. Besides the scorching temperatures, the Farmer's Almanac indicates South Dakota and other Midwestern states can expect to see some much needed summer showers. "Areas in the middle of the country including the Great Lakes, North Central, and South Central are forecast to receive about normal summer precipitation," states the Farmer's Almanac.
The bright side is that most summer days in South Dakota won't be totally unbearable. It looks as though July will be the hottest month in South Dakota. The Farmer's Almanac explains that "most of the nation will experience brutally hot conditions" sometime in the middle of July. This will continue until about the middle of August. Then we could expect to see cooler temperatures from that point.
Summer is the time to enjoy the outdoors, travel, and barbeque on the grill! We can expect plenty of sunny days in South Dakota. Let's also hope for at least an average amount of rain since the state had a rather dry winter.
