I'm seeing Pink on Sunday so obviously she's my Throwback Thursday this week. Trying to pick a Pink song was super hard. She just has so many.

I eventually decided on "Stupid Girls." It may not be Pink's biggest hit, but it's a crowd favorite.

"Stupid Girls" was released in 2006 and it was the first single from her third album, I'm Not Dead.

The song's main theme is to empower girls to do whatever they want. Don't feel like you have to be one thing or another. The music video is full of references to other celebrity women who were famous at the time for, lack of a better word, really dumb stuff.

Pink calls out Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, and Jessica Simpson, just to name a few. 2006 was a weird time.

Although, I don't think Pink means to tear anyone down. She was just showing that there are other types of girls in the world, and that is OK.

"Stupid Girls" peaked at #13 on the Billboard Hot 100, #17 on the Mainstream Top 40 chart, #19 on the Dance Club Songs chart, and #25 on the Adult Top 40 chart.

I couldn't believe this song didn't chart higher. I still love it.

See you soon, Pink!
