
Temps Nearing 20 Below Possible in South Dakota Wednesday Night
The National Weather Service Office in Sioux Falls issued a Cold Weather Advisory for much of South Dakota, including Sioux Falls.
The Cold Weather Advisory is in effect from 9:00 PM Wednesday until 9:00 AM Friday (February 12-13).
Skies are expected to clear Wednesday night allowing the temperature to drop to near 20 below zero in some areas. Even a light wind will cause dangerous windchills.

"Fresh snow and clearing skies tonight will allow temperatures to fall into the teens to around 20 below zero by daybreak Thursday. Although nighttime winds will be light, with temperatures already this cold, we are still expecting dangerously cold wind chills in the 20s below to lower 30s below zero.
