How Hot Will It Get in Sioux Falls?
The forecast for Sioux Falls calls for heat and humidity in the city this weekend with highs in the 90s and sticky conditions. We may see some rain and relief next week.
"The heat and humidity will continue to build over the next few days leading to heat indices between 100 to 110 degrees through Monday. With this in mind, make sure to stay hydrated and to avoid prolonged outdoor activities as this could lead to heat-related illnesses," - National Weather Service.
The heat and humidity take a lot out of the body, especially for very young, elderly, pregnant women, and people with chronic health conditions. To weather heat waves, it's a good idea to limit outdoor activities to the morning or evening, drink lots of water, take breaks if you have to be out in the heat, and stay in air conditioning.
It's also a good idea to check on friends and family, especially the elderly and people without access to air conditioning.
