Thursday evening (4/6/23) a Union Pacific train going through town derailed, dumping train cars onto Floyd Boulevard by the 28th Street intersection.
KCAU-TV reported that about a dozen cars were on the ground Thursday. The cause of the derailment is under investigation.

Luckily, officials are saying that the derailed cars were empty.
