Brandon, Brookings, Spearfish Schools Have the Best Teachers

Do you remember some of your favorite teachers from school? I do. I had a lot of great teachers in Wagner. Mr. and Mrs. Schoepf, Mrs. Podzimek, Mr. Sanderson, Mrs. Greenfield, Mrs. Roberts - I could go on and on.

Teachers have to deal with a lot more today than when I was a kid. Common core curriculum, disciplinary rules, new grading systems, and even e-mail have added to a teacher's workload.

In South Dakota, we have some great schools and awesome teachers. The website Niche uses analysis and reviews to help you find the best cities and schools.

Lake Lorraine Looking to Add More Merchants

They've recently released their findings and highlighted the schools with the best teachers in every state.

The ranking is based on student and parent ratings of teachers, teacher salaries, teacher absenteeism, teacher tenure, student-teacher ratio, and the Niche Academics Grade for the school.

According to their findings, the South Dakota school with the best teachers is Brandon Valley High School. Brookings High School was second followed by Spearfish High School. The highest ranked Sioux Falls school was Lincoln High School at #5.
