My Adventures at The Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha

I've been to the Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium in Omaha a bunch of times and every time I go, I tell myself to not take too many pictures because sometimes I can get carried away. And yet, I still find myself taking pictures.

I will say I was reluctant to go to the Zoo on this particular Saturday because rain was in the forecast, but it actually turned out to be the best time to go! The crowds were pretty small, the rain was on and off and just sprinkles, it was cool, the animals were super active!

Like I said, I had been to the zoo a bunch of times, but I don't remember ever seeing the animals so active. Usually, when I would visit the zoo, it's the middle of Summer, super hot, every one is sweaty and cranky including the animals. Usually they would just lay in the shade and do nothing. But on a cooler rainy day, they were ready to play!

Plus, it helps that my brother has a season pass to the zoo so I didn't have to pay! Score!

Plus, the zoo has a lot of indoor stuff to do, so the weather wasn't really an issue! Plus, my favorite is penguins! And we made it in time to watch them getting fed! So cute!

And I've decided I want a baby gorilla. So adorable even though it could probably rip my face off!

The zoo has a new Asia Grassland exhibit that opens Memorial Day weekend. So I just missed it, I guess I'll have to go back!
