Mount Rushmore and Smokey Robinson Team-Up for Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade
South Dakota's Mount Rushmore’s American Pride float will make its eighth consecutive appearance in the 91st Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade this year.
Joining the South Dakota Department of Tourism’s Mount Rushmore mascots on the float will be R&B icon Smokey Robinson.
An estimated 3 million spectators will watch from New York while more than 50 million television viewers watch nationwide. The Department of Tourism uses the float as a way raise the profile of South Dakota. They hope to drive new and repeat visitors to the state and to generate brand awareness.
The float will make its national appearance on NBC-TV during the parade on Thursday, November 23rd, between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM in all time zones.
