Election Affecting Your Shopping?

If you're planning on making any big item purchases here in the near future, wait until after the election. Chances are you'll save a few extra bucks.

According to the website FatWallet, a lot of people this year are "electing" to hold onto their money until we learn who's headed to the White House.

And FatWallet's Brent Shelton says that's not such a bad idea.

"Waiting until after the election may be the smarter consumer tactic. It might put a lot of pressure on retailers to make moves to get folks shopping because they were distracted during the election."

Shelton adds that by waiting to make any big purchases until after the election, it could result in bigger discounts on pre-Black Friday sales that are already starting to pop up.
