Ben’s Profile Journey: I made Basic Biscuits Bites
Hi, Ben here, and I’m embarking on a mission to not be fat when I turn 42. To do that I’ve partnered with Profile by Sanford and I want to take you with me on my journey.
One of the key parts of my Profile journey is a low carb eating plan. That means right now I'm living in a breadless world. Which is fine for the most part. But, every once in while I get a craving for a bit of a bun. Especially in the winter.
Thankfully the Profile recipes database on the Profile website has come to my rescue. I found a recipe for some delicious Jalapeno Cheddar Biscuits. With the cheese and peppers there are great. But I modified the recipe some and made pretty good basic biscuits.
For the basic biscuits there are only three ingredients:
- 1 Packet Profile Creamy Chicken Soup Mix
- 1 Egg
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
The instructions are super easy and quick:
- Mix all ingredients together.
- Spoon onto cookie sheet.
- Bake at 425 degrees for 6-8 minutes.
They came out perfect, giving me just the bread fix I was craving. I like them with my homemade vegetable soup (which is just water, chicken broth, and frozen veggies). I also like them with some riced cauliflower and cheese.
It's nice to shake up my meals once in a while with comfort food like options. On a cold evening I can enjoy a warm hearty meal while staying on plan.
