Hi, Ben here, and I’m embarking on a mission to not be fat when I turn 42. To do that I’ve partnered with Profile by Sanford and I want to take you with me on my journey.

Here we are, looking down the barrel of the end of 2017. I've been on the Profile Plan for a few months now and I have something to report. I AM UNDER 300!

Oh Man! It has been a hard road to this point. I'm down over 30 pounds since I started. Not only am I down in weight, I am exploding with energy.

I have not been under 300 for years. It took me longer to hit this goal that I was hoping when I started, but I have learned so much about myself and eating healthy from Profile that I know I've laid a rock-solid base for more success.

Along the way I had a few bad weeks. Things happened in life that made staying on plan difficult at times during the dark months. It caused the weight loss to stall, but I never gave up. That is only thanks to my Profile coaches. They helped me to get focused and stay on track. They helped be get my head clear so the weight started coming off again.

I can't tell you enough about how the coaching in Profile make the plan so much better than others. When I hit my wall, that's when I would have given up in the past. But the coaches I work with, Erika and Tirenny, keep me going. They won't let me fail. They hold my hand when I want it, and kick me in the behind when I need it.

I am learning so much from Profile. Learning not just what to eat, like what exactly to put in my mouth, but also how to build positive habits over the bad. Identifying the emotional triggers that caused my overeating, and better ways to handle those triggers.

That's what I mean by building a solid foundation for success. It turns out that I needed to spend some time working on my head as well as my body. I of course want to lose the weight, but I really want to keep it off. So, I really needed to figure out how to control the mental part of this journey.

I was sick of being miserable, that's what got me into Profile. I've had some ups and down in the first part of journey, but as I finally pass this huge personal milestone, I can feel a bit of calm. The Profile way is becoming everyday life. I was never giving anything up. I am gaining a better life.

I am no way near done. I'm thankful to Profile for getting me here, and to my next goals. Now that I am below 300, I am driving towards 290, then 275, and then it'll be 250 before I know it. My belt is tightening, pants are getting looser, and my head is in the game. Here's to a successful new year!
