Hi, Ben here, and I’m on a mission to not be fat when I‘m 42. To do that I’ve partnered with Profile by Sanford and I want to take you with me on my journey.

I could call this weeks entry part two of 'Things My 10 Year-Old Self Wouldn't Believe I Kinda Like.' Last week I talked about how much I know love spinach thanks to Profile. This time it's that I like trying on clothes.

It's not like I'm ready to go to the mall and walk around with two handfuls of paper bags and saying things like "oh that's cute, I like that top," or whatever people say when they're shopping. I don't think I'll ever be that excited about spending money on something that's not an electronic or computer-related. But, I have a closet full of clothes that I have not been able to wear for a long time. Thanks to Profile I'm spending a little time every now-and-then trying on those clothes.

Depending on the individual pieces, I'm back to being able to wear some great single 'X' shirts that I have. I also like to wear some of my triples to have a nice 'drowning in fabric feeling.' Until my wife see me and requests (demands) that I quit fooling around and put on a shirt that fits.

I'm not quite to a size where I can wear some of my cool t-shirts from my 20's, YET! But, I'm on my way.

This is a big deal to me because wearing clothes had become such a source of anxiety for me. For the last few years the only time I'd bother getting new clothes is when I grew out of them. Yep, I'm a grown man, growing out of clothes. It was not a great feeling wondering if the shorts from last summer would still fit.

Now thanks to Profile I am diving into my archive of fashion and trying on lots of long lost pieces. I'm walking around saying "Hey Look at this shirt!" And having a good time doing it.
