Sioux Falls woke under a thick fog and ice blanket Monday morning and that's just the start of a messy weather week.

Monday evening's forecast starts with drizzle early changing to rain or maybe freezing rain before midnight. Through the early morning expect the rain to change to snow. No ice accumulation is expected tonight but we could have a couple of inches of snow for the drive to school and work Tuesday morning.

A Winter Weather Advisory is effect for the Mitchell, Brooking and Huron area Monday night.

The chance of snow sticks around Tuesday. By Wednesday Arctic air will drop the temperature to the single digits by sundown. The temps will go into minus territory overnight Wednesday and during the day Thursday.

Relative warmth should return just in time for the weekend with highs in the 20s on Friday and Saturday.
