Three Things About ‘Fear the Walking Dead’ That Are Driving Us Nuts
I was so excited for Fear The Walking Dead to begin. Since it tells the story of what happened while Rick is in his coma in the opening episode The Walking Dead, to see modern society devolve into the mass chaos and then become the calm and sparsely populated (by the living) wasteland was an exciting proposition.
After watching four episodes I realized the inherent problem with this. It's on AMC which means there will be entire episodes where nothing happens.
The pilot was full of setup, which was to be expected, but at least there was a few zombies in there. There was action. The second and third episodes were marching down the road to an exciting adventure. The fourth, "Not Fade Away" not only failed as an episode, but as a title with an awkward present tense verb that is hard to read or say.
The show is driving me nuts. I am not alone, judging from Twitter. But I am not bailing on it yet. I will stick with it because, like most things that are part of The Walking Dead franchise, they all add to the whole story.
