This Show Isn’t On Disney+ And I’m Upset

I saw my brother over the weekend and he brought something to my attention that I feel must be addressed.

The Famous Jett Jackson is not on Disney+ and I am upset.

For those of you that are not familiar, let me educate you. The Famous Jett Jackson was a show about a teenager that was on a hit action TV show, Silverstone. In order to try to have a 'normal' life, he moves production of the show to his hometown in North Carolina. He had his besties with him, JB and Kayla. Kayla was also a bit of a love interest if I remember correctly.

Lee Thompson Young played the title character.

The show ran from 1998 until 2001 when the show got the TV movie treatment. Disney Channel had a history of giving their hit shows a movie and then they were done forever. Bye.

My brother and I must not be the only ones noticing the show's absence because there is a whole Reddit thread about it.

The most common answer to why it is missing is because, sadly, Lee Thompson Young committed suicide in 2013. If anything, they should stream it in his memory with a message at the end of every episode giving people the National Suicide Prevention number which is 1-800-273-8255.
