There are times though where finding exactly the right photo to complement your writing proves to be a bit elusive. In those instances, you turn to what's known as a 'stock photo'.

Think of them as a gallery of generic photos staged to convey a certain topic or emotion.

For example, when you want to show people in a work setting, you type in 'office' in the search bar and almost immediately you're given a couple of dozen images to chose from, all related to the subject matter in one way or another.
