South Dakota’s Favorite Will Ferrell Movie is Anchorman
Will Ferrell turns 51 on Monday July 16. He's kind of a big deal.
And he's done a ton of movies. But what are his most popular movies around the country?
CableTV.com cross-referenced data from IMDB and Rolling Stone with Google Trends to find out what the most popular movie in each state was. Apparently we like to go and see how good Will looks.
Anchorman was the favorite movie in South Dakota. It was also the favorite in Minnesota. Strangely, the vastly inferior Anchorman 2 was the favorite in Alaska.
Old School was the favorite in five states, the most of any Will Ferrell movie. Step Brothers was the favorite in four states as was Elf.
Some of the other movies that showed up as favorites were movies he just had a bit part or cameo in. Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, in which he had a long and hilariously agonizing death, was a favorite in Nevada, New Mexico, and Connecticut.
