A Sioux Falls man is charged after a meth bust near an elementary school.

Police say the Sioux Falls Area Drug Task Force carried out a search warrant Thursday morning at 612 South Lincoln Avenue, a half-block north of Garfield Elementary School.

The drug agents seized a "one-pot" methamphetamine laboratory, meth, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Thirty-eight-year-old Jon Eric Leonard, who lives at that address, was arrested on a long list of drug charges, including manufacturing and possessing meth with intent to distribute and violation of a drug-free zone.

Police say the drug task force chose Thursday morning to search the home because the wind was from the south, allowing them to process the meth lab without having to worry about contaminating the school.
