When it comes to being afraid of things, 2020 has given us an abundance of phobia-inducing occurrences over the past seven months.

With so much uncertainty and unease associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, it's no wonder that our collective mental health is as fragile as it has ever been.

According to the British Journal of Psychiatry, there are more than 8,000 fears that have officially been classified as phobias by medical professionals.

Healthline has compiled a list of them all, including the ones that are occupying most of our time and energy in 2020 and some that are just flat out bizarre.
