This is literally what my nightmares are made of. I saw a Child's Play movie at far too young an age and I haven't quite been the same ever since. And, for some reason, Chucky keeps coming back in one way or another.

This time, Chucky will be back on SyFy and USA in a new TV show. The show simply titled, Chucky, will premiere on October 12th.

I might put myself through watching this nightmare fuel because one of my first loves is in the series. Devon Sawa stars in the show. Remember Devon? He was on the cover of every Bop and Tiger Beat in the 90s. He was in Casper, Now and Then, Little Giants, and Final Destination. Devon might be enough to make me watch Chucky. Maybe.

Don Mancini is the franchise creator and explained this reincarnation of Chucky to Entertainment Weekly, "The main character is a 14-year-old gay boy who's bullied and sort of lost after the recent death of his mother. He's a young artist [making] sculptures with doll parts. He finds Chucky at a yard sale and buys him, but it turns out that he gets much more than he bargained for."

The official trailer premiered at Comic-Con over the weekend. If you're not as traumatized as I am, go ahead and check it out.
