The Sports and Entertainment District in Sioux Falls, the area around the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center, will be getting a new hotel and restaurant.

Sioux Falls officials announced Wednesday, March 16, 2016 that the city is partnering with Quest Development of Aberdeen to build a 110 room Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites, an attached conference center and a 200 seat restaurant called Crooked Pint Ale House.

The development will be at Elmwood Golf Course at the intersection of Russell Street and Western Avenue. The cost of the project is $12 million.  Besides the restaurant and conference center, accommodations include a pool, fitness center and 24/7 market.

The development will have golf-themed features including dedicated golf cart parking, additional driving range access, stay-and-play packages and more.

The project plans to break ground in early summer 2016 with an opening date of spring 2017.
