New Exhibits and Activities at The Washington Pavilion
September at the Washington Pavilion is going to be jam-packed.
Right off the bat, let's talk FREE. All of September the Washington Pavilion will be offering a BOGO deal. Buy one, get one FREE museum admission. Take advantage of this offer in person, at the Washington Pavilion Box Office.
There is more FREE on Saturday, September 18th for FREE Museum Day! Free Museum Day is a national event hosted by Smithsonian Magazine to bring together museums, zoos, and cultural centers nationwide to offer free admission for one day.
“We are so pleased to have the support of Sammons Financial Group,” said Chelsea Cronin, Director of Development. “Free admission for everyone on National Museum Day is made possible through their sponsorship."
On Free Museum Day, the Kirby Science Discovery Center will open a temporary exhibit, Bug Squad. This exhibit was created by Omaha Children's Museum and is a full sensory experience. Each character in the Bug Squad has a storyline to highlight their abilities, traits, and strengths.
The Washington Pavilion aims to provide exhibits and interactive activities through its programs year-round. Bug Squad is just one new thing added to the long list of daily activities including science demonstrations at Avera Stage Science, Tinker Tuesdays in Jack's Imagination Lab, and Friday Crafternoons in Raven Children's Studio.
With school starting, the Kirby Science Discovery Center and Visual Arts Center will be open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sundays from 12:00 pm to 5:00 p.m.
