I was aware of Corks & Kegs for Cystic Fibrosis, but had never been able to attend the event.

Well, this last weekend, that all changed.

I was happy to attend this year's event. It's called Corks & Kegs because it is a wine and beer tasting event complete with complimentary tasting glass. (Which, I realize now, I forgot on the table.)

I don't want to brag, but my friend Ann and I tried every wine and beer. Good thing there was some really tasty food to go with it! There was also a signature cocktail, The Breathe Easy Martini, which was delicious.

There was also a live and silent auction complete with the cutest puppies ever!!!

Goodroad Band also provided entertainment for the evening.

Stacy Peterson is a doctor that spoke about advanced treatments and research. Then, Ashley Ballou-Bonnema spoke about living with Cystic Fibrosis and her awesome organization, Breathe Bravely, which she is the founder. Breathe Bravely has amazing programs like Singspire, giving a voice to CF.

The whole event is a fundraiser for The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. CFF's mission is to, "...cure cystic fibrosis and to provide all people with the disease the opportunity to lead full, productive lives by funding research and drug development, promoting individualized treatment, and ensuring access to high-quality, specialized care."

Make sure to put next year's event on your calendar!
