Mississippi is Bad for Your Dog’s Health

Banfield Pet Hospitals, a national chain of veterinarians, did a study to find the states where dogs live the longest and the shortest lives.

The unlucky bottom three states where dogs have the shortest lifespans are Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana. You'd think that in the South it is warm enough for the dogs to be outside. It could be that they're more likely to be exposed to parasites or  injured in accidents.

The top 5 worst places for a dog and their average lifespan.

1.  Mississippi:  10.1 years.

2.  Alabama:  10.2 years.

3.  Louisiana:  10.4 years.

4.  Delaware:  10.5 years.

5.  Massachusetts:  10.6 years.
