Alexandria, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Minnesota man was injured early Saturday when his SUV collided with a horse.

The State Patrol says 57-year-old Kevin Leroy Olson of Wheaton was driving west on Highway 27 in Douglas County when he encountered the horse. The crash was reported around 12:30 AM in a rural area about 15 miles west of Alexandria.

The motorist was transported to a hospital in Alexandria with what the State Patrol described as non-life-threatening injuries. The State Patrol did not provide any information about the fate of the horse or its owner.
