General Mills food company retired the yellow hourglass marshmallow from its cereal. Since then the company took to social media to ask fans to vote on which marshmallow they would like to see added-by answering with an emoji. Well after a few weeks of voting, the new marshmallow is-the unicorn.

The new unicorn charm, which features hues of bright purples and blues, is the first-ever marshmallow to be inspired and created by kids. Marketing manager of Lucky Charms, Josh DeWitt tells the television station:

"We decided to introduce a new charm with the help of the keepers of magic themselves - kids. They spoke, and after hearing their love for the magical unicorn, we listened."

The new marshmallow joins hearts, stars, horseshoes, clovers, blue moons, rainbows, red balloons.
