Lallycooler Festival Parking Plan: What to Know Before You Go

The Lallycooler Music Festival, sponsored by Marketbeat, is gearing up to be the new summer tradition in Sioux Falls. The inaugural event is July 11 and 12 at Great Bear just east of town.

But, like with any event around these parts, the first question people have is, "Where do I park?" If you've been to Great Bear Ski Valley, you know space is limited and it's just a bit outside of town, so parking options are limited on a normal day. During a giant music festival that is bringing in people from all over the Sioux Empire, trying to park out there would be a nightmare.

Luckily, the folks behind the Lallycooler Music Festival have a plan: shuttles!

No Parking at Great Bear for Lallycooler

First off, there will be NO PARKING available out at Great Bear. So, to get to the concerts, you'll take one of the shuttles that they've organized.

The shuttles will run continuously from one of four spots across Sioux Falls out to Great Bear, starting 30 minutes before things start until 9:30 PM both nights.

The shuttles are free, too. This is a great idea. It's going to make the festival all the more fun. Not having to worry about finding parking or even paying for parking will be amazing. Doing things this way removes such a huge amount of stress. Plus, the shuttles will be loading and dropping off at big parking lots in town, where you can park.

No matter where you're coming from, in Sioux Falls or from around the Sioux Empire, you are close to one of the Lallycooler shuttle pickup locations.

On the east side of Sioux Falls, there will be one at Washington High School. On the west side, it's at Jefferson High School. In the northern part of town, you can get on the shuttles at the Denny Sanford PREMIERE Center. And finally,y if you're coming from south Sioux Falls, you can hop on the shuttle at the USF Sports Complex.

The shuttles will take you from the pickup locations out to Great Bear and drop you right near the gate.

The gates at Great Bear will open at 4:00 PM on Friday, July 11. The first band will start playing at 5:30 PM. On Saturday, the gates open at 2:00 PM, and the live music starts at 4:00 PM.
