Remembering 2019: Jonny V Had A Going Away Party And Nobody Cried
Just kidding.
I cried. Jonny cried. And I couldn't tell if anybody else cried because I was too busy crying.
I've worked in this building for ten years and Jonny V has been here for all of those years.
Not a big surprise that I would cry, I'm a pretty easy crier. I honestly was trying to keep it together as I left Jonny's party, but one look at him starting to well up and we both lost it!
He walked me out to my car and I eventually had to just literally walk away from him because otherwise we were gonna just keep standing in The Gateway parking lot crying and hugging. People walking by were probably very confused.
In case you missed it, Jonny V is moving to Portland, Oregon. His girlfriend got a new job and they are off on a new adventure.
I mean, it's fine. It's totally fine. I'm totally fine.
At least he left me a little something to remember him by.
I don't know what I'm going to do back in my cube without Jonny yelling, "Hey Tash!" every 20 minutes!
Who else am I going to send texts and chats to about the other people in the cubes?
Well, let's be real, I'm still gonna do that. I warned him that he will still be getting my texts ranting about dumb work stuff.
And on the positive side, now I have a reason to go to Portland!
