Six Arrested in Massive Southern Minnesota Meth Bust

Faribault, MN (KROC-AM News)- A major methamphetamine bust in southern Minnesota has resulted in six arrests.

That’s according to a news release issued by the Rice County Attorney’s Office. The arrests are the result of a multi-week narcotics investigation involving meth sales conducted by the Cannon River Drug and Violent Offender Task Force. 

On September 27, agents from the team obtained a search warrant for an apartment in Faribault where 42-year-old Ryan Ihde lives. Law enforcement surveyed the residence then moved in once they saw Ihde and two other individuals arrive at the home with several backpacks, the news release says. 

The agents seized several packages of suspected meth that were scattered throughout the apartment’s living room. The news release says it appeared the meth was being repackaged for sales. 

Law enforcement found 325 grams of crystal-form meth, 225 grams of liquid meth and 80 grams of meth that was in the pocket of 25-year-old Garrett Sepin of Faribault, who arrived at the residence during the search, the Rice County Attorney says. 

In all, authorities seized over one pound of meth and $2,084 in cash. The Rice County Attorney’s Office says the following individuals were arrested and charged with first-degree drug crimes: 

• Ryan Ihde 

• Garrett Sepin 

• Krista Huston of Iowa 

• Jeffery Morrison of Iowa

• Blendyer Olais of Faribault

• Amber Adams of Faribault
