How Technology Helps Find Lost Pets Like Koko The Tortoise

There was a time when you would have to print up flyers and walk the streets if you were searching for a lost pet.

But those desperate days are now over thanks to technology.

Websites like PawBoost let you instantly enlist the help of people in your area to try and help you reunite with that missing four-legged member of your family.

Such is the case in northeast Sioux Falls this week, where Koko has gone missing. But this isn't your typical lost dog or cat. You see, Koko is a juvenile red footed tortoise and apparently Koko didn't just wander off - it was allegedly taken from its owners yard near East Arrowhead Parkway and North Foss Avenue.

Koko was last seen Monday (June 1) and can be easily identified by the three red dots marked on its back.

Here's hoping for a speedy reunion between Koko and its owner.
