You don't have to be a kid, have a kid, or even be a kid at heart to enjoy this "Museum After Dark" Party at the Children's Museum of South Dakota at 521 4th Street in Brookings.

On Friday, April 21, from 7 to 10 PM adults can play, too, and to show that they mean it!

The evening will not only feature games, such as Supermarket Sweep, Light Bright Pictionary, Hungry Hungry Hippo, Scavenger Hunts, Cornhole, and Throwing Things Off the Balcony - -but also a variety of beverages.

Wooden Legs Brewing Company, a brew pub located in downtown Brookings, will be onsite serving craft beer, and additional beverage options such as wine, seltzer, and non-alcoholic selections will be available.

Café Coteau, the museum’s onsite restaurant, will be open too, featuring extended hours and serving delicious flatbread pizzas.

The event will include full access to the museum’s exhibits with additional games taking place throughout the night.

“We’ve heard people say that the museum looks like so much fun and they’d love to come, but they don’t have a kid to bring with them,” said Guest Experience Manager Charles Stuart.

“I want people to know that it’s ok and encouraged for adults to play, too. So we created this event, 'Museum After Dark', just for them! It’s also a great way to showcase the museum to the community and share the work we do in sparking imagination for everyone," said Stuart.

While tickets in advance are not required, they are encouraged. They can be purchased at the Children's Museum of South Dakota website. Admission is $12, or $6 for those with a college ID or museum membership.

Inside Minnesota's Largest Candy Store

I had been to Minnesota's Largest Candy Store once before, but they did some pretty cool things since the last time I was there. They added a bunch of superheroes, Star Wars stuff, and a candy band.

According to their Facebook page, Jim's Apple Farm is actually how the now huge candy store got its start. It is located in Jordan, MN and you can't miss it. It is a huge yellow building.

Even though candy is mentioned in the name, they have a little bit of everything. They have fresh baked pies and cookies and fudge. We walked in and it smelled amazing!

They also have the largest selection of sodas! Then there is chocolate and taffy and gummies and chips and puzzles and games. So much stuff!

They even have a Zoltar machine like in the movie, Big. I had to check that out. He told me the only helping hand is at the end of my arm. Gee, thanks Zoltar.

There were even crickets and worms! Not gummy worms, but actual worms.
They also have candy from all over the world!

The store is seasonal, however. November is their last month of operation for the season.
