Minnesota Man’s ‘Sign’ of Protest: Drags Road Sign Onto Busy Interstate
A Minnesota man single-handedly redefined the meaning of "roadwork ahead" by dragging a construction sign onto a busy interstate. Instead of the usual orange cones, drivers encountered a bewildering lane closed sign smack dab in the middle of their morning commute.
The incident happened along a busy stretch of Interstate 94 at the Huron Blvd exit. I bet some motorists thought they were hallucinating when they came up upon the "Left Lane Closed" sign. How refreshing that the kind gentleman stood in the road and pointed to the sign.
In the video below, the man can be seen taking time to place sandbags on the sign's legs. The man eventually fled the scene but not before nearly being hit by a car that was exiting the interstate.
Crews arrived to remove the sign without incident. There were no reports of injuries or damage to vehicles.
