It's hard to impress one of the toughest celebrity chefs in the kitchen. Heck, he's not afraid to call an amateur chef an "idiot sandwich." But one Iowa chef impressed the impeccable tastes of Gordon Ramsay during this season of MasterChef: United Tastes of America on FOX.

Grant Gillon is the Director of Sales at Kinship Brewing Company in Waukee. Now he can add the title of "Master Chef" to his resume! Grant was recently crowned the season 13 winner of MasterChef.

According to a previous article about his journey, Grant was one of the chefs from the Midwest cooking for the chance to win a white apron and the $250,000 grand prize. After months of cooking tasks and critiques, Grant cooked his way through the finale of MasterChef: United Tastes of America. The hard work paid off and Grant took home the top prize!

MasterChef: United Tastes of America is hosted by world-renowned chef Gordon Ramsay. This cooking competition highlights homegrown chefs creating their favorite signature dishes.

Grant's brewery Kinship Brewing Company held a watch party to find out if Grant took home the top prize. When it was announced that Grant won the ultimate MasterChef: United Tastes of America title, the crowd went crazy! 

From the looks of Grant's Instagram page, he really knows how to make delicious meals! Where did he learn his cooking skills from? Grant claims on his Instagram bio that he is, "Classically trained by the YouTube channel of Gordon Ramsay." Looks like Gordan's lessons paid off!
